Beggar - Neapolitan Nativity Figure
A unique scenographic work inspired by 18th-century
tradition , depicting
a popular nativity scene,
creating a believable, lively, and coherent scene.
The Beggar Shepherd is presented as an integral part
of its workspace, according to a scenographic vision
that prioritizes the narrative over the figure alone.
The modeled face has been entirely reinterpreted
through original hand-painted work,
with glazes, patinas, and color modulations designed to convey
expressive depth, character, and a sense of experience.
The clothing is entirely handmade.
Back-painted crystal eyes.
The figure is 33 cm tall. A handmade wooden stick and water bottle are
crafted and assembled with the aim of creating a unified, inseparable
composition. Each individual element contributes
to the narrative power of the work.
